About Jen

After a decade and a half of communications experience, I saw a gap in professional services available to clients like you. 

Better World Consulting was founded by me, Jennifer Burgess. With two degrees in English Literature, I have a deep love for compelling, authentic storytelling. I have worked in multiple professional environments to help technical experts communicate with a wider and diverse audience.

 I have worked in industry, government, and post-secondary on major infrastructure and social policy projects all over the world, including the Panama Canal, the Calgary Ring Road, the Springbank Off-Stream Reservoir, the Calgary Green Line LRT, multiple bi-lateral agreements, and complex social projects like Orange Shirt Day.

I am community-driven and guided by work that makes the world a better place.

Truth and reconciliation, trauma informed approaches, and authenticity are central to everything I do.
